"If your taxes are misappropriated, hold me accountable," Ruto. 

President William Ruto has affirmed that Government is keen on confronting corruption in the country adding that he will fully employ his constitutional powers to safeguard public resources.

Speaking on Thursday, August 17, during a church service at the ACK St James Cathedral in Kiambu County, the Head of State assured Kenyans that the Government would prudently use taxes to implement development programmes.

"If your taxes are misappropriated, hold me accountable," Ruto remarked.  

The President said he would not allow his detractors to derail the implementation of the Government development agenda.

"We have a historic opportunity to change the destiny of our nation," he mentioned. 


Ruto noted that the Government is keen on creating opportunities for the youth in housing and the digital economy.

The Head of State called on farmers who are yet to register to do so to enable the government to provide targeted assistance.

Leaders Present during President Ruto's Kiambu tour were; Governor Kimani Wamatangi, MPs Kimani Ichung'wah (Kikuyu), John Wanjiku (Kiambaa), Machua Waithaka (Kiambu), Alice Ng'ang'a (Thika), James Wamacukuru (Kabete), Gabriel Kagombe (Gatundu South), Simon King'ara (Ruiru), Anne Wamuratha (Kiambu) and Maina Karobia (EALA).

Mr. Ichung'wah assured Kenyans that the bipartisan dialogue will focus on issues affecting Kenyans.

Ms. Ng'ang'a asked Kenyans to have faith in the Government, saying it has a good plan for the country.
