Senator Cheruiyot took a swipe at Murkomen saying he left him with a huge bill that Raila cleared after Arsenal scored winning goals against Man U.

Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot and Roads and Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen have shared a light moment on X platform, formerly Twitter, over the football match between Manchester United and Arsenal football club.

It all started after Cheruiyot tweeted that CS Murkomen went missing after Arsenal beat Manchester United leaving him with a hotel bill where they were watching the match.

According to the Senator, the bill was sorted by ODM leader Raila Odinga who was at the hotel.

"Has anybody seen Kipchumba MurkomenHe left me with a huge bill after Declan and Gabriel did their thing. Jumped up to celebrate, only to find an empty chair and the waiter with the bill. Luckily, fellow Gooner Raila Odinga was in the vicinity. After celebrations, he cleared the bill," Cheruiyot tweeted, seemingly in jest.

In a rejoinder, Murkomen told Cheruiyot off saying the country is focused on an important African Climate Summit.

He downplayed the issue of the bill saying it was too little to worth telling anyone about it.

"The country is focusing on #ACS2023 and you are polluting the environment with lots of noise? Na ukuwe serious Bwana bill ya chai na samosa ni kitu ya kutangazia Watu ? Arsenal fans are all the same regardless of their party affiliations," Murkomen fired back.
