TSC CEO Nancy Macharia has ordered all field officers currently on leave to resume duty on October 16. 

Teachers Service Commission (TSC) CEO Nancy Macharia has directed all field officers on leave to resume their work on October 16, 2023.

Speaking on Monday, September 25, during the launch of the 2023 national examinations season, Macharia said the move is part of TSC’s measures to ensure preparation for national examinations.

“As part of our measures to ensure the last phase of the preparations for the national examinations are successful, all field officers who are currently on leave must resume duty on October 16, 2023,” Macharia stated.

She also said that TSC and all its staff and teachers will give the upcoming national examinations full support to ensure that it is successful.

Macharia further said TSC has vetted supervisors, invigilators, and examiners who will be in charge of the national examinations.

“For the purpose of the 2023 national examinations, the TSC has vetted a total of 223,223 teachers who will serve as supervisors and invigilators and 37,731 teachers who will serve as examiners for the 2023 national examinations,” she added.

KCPE examinations will start on Monday, October 30, 2023, and end on Wednesday, November 1, 2023.

The KCSE examinations on the other hand will officially start on Thursday, October 10, 2023, and end on Friday, November 24, 2023.
