Former DCI Boss George Kinoti on Thursday made his first public appearance in many months after he unceremoniously left office.

“The commission will get someone to act in that position for now as we wait for the other processes to fill the position,” Ruto said.

Ruto would however reveal later that he kicked him out of office over his conduct while serving as the boss.

Kinoti is among Former President Uhuru Kenyatta's high-profile officials who crossed paths with Ruto after he fell out with President Wiliam Ruto. 

Since then, the Former DCI boss has gone under and has never before been seen in public or addressed the media over his predicament. 

Other High Profile Leaders who attended the book Launch.

However, on Thursday, Kinoti joined a host of high-profile leaders at the launch of a book by Former Head of Public Service Francis Muthaura. 

The book, A Moving Horizon, authored by Muthaura, was launched at a Nairobi Hotel.

The book outlines the life journey of Ambassador Muthaura from his childhood to his retirement from public service.

Present at the event were Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria.

Speaking after the event, CS Kuria said: 

"I feel very honored, proud, and happy to be associated with the legacy that Ambassador Dr. Francis Muthaura built in public service. The dedication, selflessness, and humility that this great Kenyan had for this country are truly inspirational for us currently serving in public service."

The function was also attended by Former Cabinet Secretaries Margaret Kobia, Jacob Kaimenyi, Amina Mohamed, ex-PS Michael Kamau, and East African Educational Publishers CEO Kiarie Kamau.

Retired Justice Aaron Ringera, Kenya School of Government Director General Ludeki Chweya, and Public Service PS Amos Gathecha were also present.

Others were former governors Kiraitu Murungi (Meru), Francis Kimemia (Nyandarua), and Ndiritu Muriithi (Laikipia).
