Angry senators on Wednesday morning were forced to halt the Impeachment trial of Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza to demand CS Kuria's sacking.

Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has fired back at a section of leaders asking President William Ruto to sack him over his utterances.

In an interview with JKL Live on Wednesday night, Kuria described it as 'not big deal' in the event his sacking calls come to pass.

When asked whether he was under fire, the CS responded:

"Which hot seat? I am 52 years old, out of which I have only been a minister for only one year. It is not a big deal," he said.

In response to the accusation leveled towards him by the Senate, the CS said:

"Those senators are still in session. Right now the Senate is not a Senate, it is not a legislative house, it is a quasi-court. So out of respect for the laws of this country let me not engage these people," he added.

"It is what it is."

The CS has been under fire from senators after listing some 13 names he claimed were behind a plot to impeach the governor even if she was innocent.

The remarks saw senators call for his impeachment saying he had become an embarrassment to the appointing authority.

Angry senators on Wednesday morning were forced to halt the Impeachment trial of Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza to discuss the CS's conduct.

Senator Aaron Cheruiyot while raising a point of order said the CS's conduct was unbecoming.

''Speaker, I agree with members of this house who have brought a motion of censure before to discuss the conduct of this particular minister because every given opportunity has done nothing but embarrass the appointing authority," he said.

''In fact, it is my submission, that the earlier CS Moses Kuria is let off his duties, the better for this administration because in every single day, in every action that he undertakes, he continues to embarrass the President and the People."

Homa Bay Senator Otieno Kajwang on his part called out the Senator and asked Senator Cheruiyot to use his close relationship with President Ruto to send the CS home.

''Go and tell the boss that this guy is an embarrassment, not just to the government but to the republic of Kenya, he is an embarrassment to entire East Africa, the deals he has done have made Kenya look like a pariah,'' stated senator Kajwang'.

He went on to implore the Senate Assembly to talk to their counterpart at the National Assembly to start the process of impeaching CS Kuria from office.

Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna on his part also demanded action saying he has time immemorial warned of CS Kuria's conduct.

"I ask myself, just how much embarrassment does the President have the capacity to endure?" Edwin Sifuna.

He said the time has come for the CS to be dealt with for his unbecoming conduct.
