The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced 677 job vacancies in various government ministries and departments with competitive salaries.

Some of the advertised positions include Geologists, Laboratory Technologists, Chemists, Drilling Assistants, inspectors for mines and commissioners for petroleum.

Senior roles which have been left vacant include Deputy Director in the Kenya School of Adventure and Leadership, Deputy Director, Civil Regulation Services, Deputy Commissioner General of Prisons, Director of Veterinary Services and Secretary of Labour Migration.

According to the notice, the application deadline is February 13, at 5 pm.

The successful applicants will be paid according to their job groups. For instance, employees in job grade CSG 5 are entitled to a Ksh197,800 salary plus allowances, CSG 6 are paid Ksh169,140 monthly plus allowances and CSG 7 get a Ksh119,730 monthly salary plus allowances.

However, their salaries will be revealed during the hiring process.

How to Apply

Interested and qualified persons are required to make their applications online through the commission website: www.publicservice.go.ke or the jobs portal: www.psckjobs.go.ke.

On the website, applicants should select the icon of the advertised jobs to proceed to the job pages and select their preferred job before applying.

Meanwhile, on the jobs portal, applicants should log into their accounts, and on the left, click on the 'Applicant Section' to select the job required.

Before submitting, applicants are advised to meet all the requirements listed by the public service in each job category. Some of the documents required from the applicants are curriculum vitae, referees, and national identity cards, among other requirements.
