For the process to be successful, both the seller and the buyer must take part in the process through their e-Citizen accounts.

Following the migration of services from the Transport Integrated Management System (TIMS) portal to e-Citizen, the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has simplified the process of changing ownership details.

This process involves the transferring of details to a vehicle's new owner in line with the country's transport regulations.

"The transfer process is the change of ownership of a motor vehicle from the current owner (Seller) to a new owner (Buyer). To facilitate the process both seller and buyer must activate their E-Citizens accounts," NTSA explained.

The process is initiated by the seller.
