"I extend heartfelt thanks to Odi Mtaani for this invaluable borehole project."

In a demonstration of their unwavering commitment to community development, Odibets continued their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives on Wednesday, February 28, by extending a helping hand to St Joseph Girls National School located in Chepterit Nandi County.

The betting company, under its Odi Mtaani initiative, announced the drilling of a borehole project, distributed sanitary towels, and provided assorted foodstuffs to students and locals.

Speaking at the event, Dedan Mungai, General Manager of Odibets, reiterated the company's dedication to supporting communities across the nation.

"As Odi Mtaani, we are steadfast in our commitment to fulfilling CSR obligations set by the government and the Betting Control and Licensing Board (BCLB). Our support spans various sectors, including education and commercial ventures, as mandated by BCLB," Mungai stated.

Expressing gratitude on behalf of the school, Margaret Koskei, an alumna of St. Joseph Girls School, lauded Odibets for their timely intervention.

"I extend heartfelt thanks to Odi Mtaani for this invaluable borehole project. It couldn't have come at a better time, especially considering the impending water source relocation the school faces," Koskei remarked, highlighting the significance of the initiative for the institution and the local community.

BCLB Chairperson, Rev (DR) Jane Mwikali Makau, commended Odibets for their consistent support and adherence to CSR guidelines.

"I commend Odi Mtaani Foundation for their dedication to uplifting communities and fulfilling the CSR obligations outlined by the board. Their donation of boreholes to schools exemplifies responsible corporate citizenship," Dr. Makau emphasized, urging other betting operators to follow suit and fulfill their social responsibility mandates.

The CSR initiative at St Joseph Girls National School underscores Odibets' commitment to making a tangible difference in communities nationwide, exemplifying its ethos of social impact and community engagement.

This comes barely a week after Odibets launched a mega water project in Makueni County.
