Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga is admitted to a Nairobi hospital. On Sunday the lawmaker shared a selfie while in hospital.

She did not disclose what she is alining from but she was in a green hospital gown and a black face mask to keep safe since hospitals are full of Covid patients.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health Health reported 486 new cases from 4,134 samples tested in the last 24 hours. This brought the total number of confirmed cases to 145,670.

The death toll also rose by 18 which brought the total number of fatalities to 2,348. 490 patients have recovered from Covid-19 raising the total number to 99,095.

The Health Ministry said 318 patients were in home-based care and 172 were discharged from various hospitals in the country.
