Former Kibwezi Member of Parliament Kalembe Ndile is dead.

Kalembe succumbed to liver cirrhosis while receiving treatment at Nairobi Hospital.

Reports indicate that Kalembe died at the age of 57. His body has been taken to Lee funeral home.

Kalembe will be remembered for his sense of humour and determination to fight for the Kenyan people in the various positions he held.


He was a respected politician in the country having served the nation in various capacities including being an Assistant Minister for Tourism and Wildlife during the grand coalition government.

In 2019, President Uhuru Kenyatta appointed him to the Tana Athi Water Board.

Prior to that, he had unsuccessfully contested the Mavoko Parliamentary seat.

Many were hoping that he'll make a comeback in 2022, but unfortunately, he's succumbed a few months to the elections.

Away from politics, Ndile was an established entrepreneur in the construction industry. He was widely known for selling sand and ballast.
