She will manage the business desk while at the same time continue anchoring news and also participating in the NewsGang editorial show famed for its objective and hard-hitting analysis.

Prior to joining Citizen TV, Yvonne worked at KTN News as a senior news anchor and head of news strategy.

Yvonne has also worked at Nation Media Group where she began as a content producer before rising ranks to be a radio talk show producer and news anchor.

An inside source revealed to Nairobi Leo, that many expected Senior Business Reporter Dennis Otieno to take over from Bonyo but Yvonne, who enjoys close ties with the company's Editorial Director Joe Ageyo, earned it.

Ageyo joined RMS in 2018 and poached a number of KTN journalists including Yvonne, Mashirima Kapombe, Elphas Lagat, Raquel Muigai and Francis Mutalaki.

Yvonne studied Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, Zoology, Botany and Chemistry at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.

She is one of the many famed journalists in the country who have accomplished a lot in the media industry despite studying unrelated courses.
