Burial arrangements of five family members who were tragically killed in a road accident last year on Christmas Day are underway.

Ronald Bundi, his wife Veronica Ogake and their three daughters; Marion Bundi, Natalie Bundi and Claire Bundi died spot after the vehicle they were travelling collided head-on with another while travelling home.

The five will be laid to rest on Friday, January 7.

The family had left Mombasa early in the morning on Saturday, December 25, 2021 when they met their unfortunate death.

Two family members, Mr Bundi's children, survived the accident. They include Mike Bundi and Venand Bundi.

According to pictures accessed by Nairobi Leo, their home in Nyakegogi in Sameta Sub County, Kisii, was a beehive of activities as family and friends prepared for their interment.

A wide grave has already been dug hinting that the late family members will be interred in a single grave.

The bodies of the five have been kept at Jocham Hospital morgue, in Mombasa.

A requiem mass is set to be held on Wednesday, January 5 at St Francis of Asisi Customs Parish in Nyali.

The cortege is expected to leave the morgue on Thursday and proceed to Kisii for an overnight stay ahead of the burial is scheduled on Friday.
