A tragic road accident has left nine people dead in Rodi Kopany area in Homa Bay County.
According to Homay Woman Representative Gladys Wanga, the nine were left dead after a truck transporting cane rolled several times.
Three members of one family died in the accident.
"Homabay County is in mourning. We have this evening lost nine lives as a truck transporting cane rolled and killed 3 members of the same family at Rodi Kopany," she said.
The Woman MP also sent out her condolences messages to the affected families.
"My heart goes out to the families that are this evening in shock following the sudden loss of loved ones. May God comfort you in ways that only HE knows," she added.
