  • Kilonzo also accused Sifuna of refusing to give other NASA affiliate parties the political parties fund, allegation the ODM Secretary General refuted.

ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna and Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior on Saturday engaged in a bitter exchange of words, over claims that Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka asked for Sh3 Billion to join Azimio la Umoja Movement.

The senator who attended the same funeral with Sifuna asked him to say when former Vice President asked for the said amount.

Mutula insisted that Kalonzo and Raila have not had any conversation on him joining Azimio but said he had only sent the Ukambani governors to talk to him.

"I am saying here because I am angry. You claimed that you want Kalonzo to join Azimio but that he demanded Ksh3 billion. I want you to tell us when he demanded the money, from who and where," the Makueni senator said.

He added, “Kalonzo is a cool person and if you want him in Azimio, why would you insult him… Oparanya go ask that question to Raila because he has not called Kalonzo and asked him to join Azimio. He only sent Charity, Mutua and Kibwana."

Kilonzo also accused Sifuna of refusing to give other NASA affiliate parties the political parties' fund, an allegation the ODM Secretary General refuted.

Sifuna said the money was shared and he was willing to give proof of the same.

"I forgive you. The truth will remain. I want the father to invite me to the office alongside Kilonzo to show documents showing the money transferred from ODM to Wiper and then you will tell the public,” he said while steering off the Sh3 billion claims.

Sifuna said that they respect the role Mutuka Junior plays in the senate as Minority Whip and that is the reason the opposition has respect for him.

"I am happy Mutula Kilonzo that you acknowledge we have a common enemy. We removed leaders like Moses Wetangula from his seat, we have never touched your seat, you are still our Minority Whip.”
