Tuskys Supermarket director Stephen Mukuha is dead.

He passed away on Sunday at a Nairobi hospital. His family has confirmed his death.

Mukuha was at the heart of Tuskys Supermarket’s operations for the last four decades.

He owned a 17.5 per cent stake in the business.

The death comes at a time when the retail business is facing lots of business woes punctuated with high debts across its branches risking its survival.

Some of its major branches have been closed with their properties auctioned over unpaid rent and also failing to pay suppliers.

Attempts to revive the business has proved difficult as the retail experience blow after blow its bid to survive owing to so many debts.

Sibling rivalry was blamed for its woes.
