Editor's Review

RMS announced the departure of Ageyo who had served the company for four years.

Royal Media Services (RMS) Editorial Director Joe Ageyo has parted ways with the media giant.

In a memo from the group managing director Wachira Waruru seen by Nairobi Leo, RMS announced the departure of Ageyo who had served the company for four years.

The company also announced the appointment of Linus Kaikai as the new Editorial Director. Kaikai previously served as Director of Strategy and Innovation.

ā€œIā€™m pleased to announce the appointment of Linus Kaikai as the RMS Editorial Director. I also wish to announce that Joe Ageyo has for the last four years served as RMS Editorial Director, leaving the company to pursue other interests,ā€ the memo signed by Waruru read in part.

Waruru further thanked Ageyo for his service to RMS as he also congratulated Kaikai on the new appointment.

"I congratulate Linus on his appointment and wish him good luck in the execution of his new duties and responsibilities towards accomplishing the goals of the RMS," the memo added

The changes, according to Waruru, will take effect from April 1, 2022. Ageyo and Kaikai joined Citizen TV in 2018 at a time when the media house was restructuring.

Ageyo joined the RMS after quitting KTN while Kaikai was hired from NTV where he worked as the Managing Editor.
