The three elected leaders have been summoned by DCI. 

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has named three politicians behind the stoning of Raila Odinga's chopper in Uasin Gishu County. 

The incident happened on Friday at Kabenes after the burial of prominent Uasin Gishu farmer Mzee Jackso Kibor.

According to preliminary investigations, DCI has named MP Caleb Kositany, Oscar Sudi, and  David Kiplagat, speaker of Uasin Gishu County Assembly as the mastermind of the attack. 

The three have been directed to appear in person before the Rift Valley DCI Regional coordinator.

"In view of the foregoing, the two legislators and County Assembly Speaker have pursuant to Section 52 of the National Police Service Act 2011, been summoned to appear in person before the Rift Valley DCI Regional cordinator on April 3, 2022, at 9am, for further investigations into their involvement in the incident," DCI said. 

Suna East MP Junet Mohamed has said that they, together with  Odinga were attacked at a burial of prominent Uasin Gishu Farmer Mzee Jackson Kibor.

"Today we almost got killed in soy constituency Uasin Gishu County at the Burial of Mzee Jackson Kibor’s burial. Our chopper was completely destroyed and we had to look for alternative means mid-air," Junet stated.
