CS Magoha announced that Form One students would report to their selected schools on May 3, 2022.

Education CS Prof George Magoha on Monday, April 11 presided over the Form One selection for the 2021 Certificate Of Primary Education (KCPE) candidates. 

Addressing the press at the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD), Magoha asked parents to send the index number of 2021 KCPE candidates to 22263 to know the school their child was selected to join.

The CS added that candidates could also access school joining instructions via the Education ministry's website.

"To know the selection of Form one candidates at Sub-county levels, candidates and parents can access joining instructions that are available online through the Ministry's website. The results can also be checked by texting the candidate's index number  to 22263," the CS noted.

The CS mentioned that Nanyuki High was the most selected school with 156,003 candidates applying yet 400 slots are available.

A total of 1,214,031 candidates sat for their 2021 KCPE examination in 28,313 centres across the country. 

Of these candidates, 610,384 (50.28%) were boys and 603,647 (49.72%) girls. 

The Top KCPE candidates were; 

1. Magata Bruce Makenzie from Gilgil Hill Academy - 428

2. Momanyi Ashley Kerubo from Makini School Kibos - 427

3. Kwoma Charity from Holy Family Misikhu Girls Primary School - 426

4. Mbugua Sharon Wairimu from Emmanuel Academy - 426

5. Mueti Shantel Ndinda from Kitengela International School - 426
