Mwangi said Raila being called 'mganga' by Ruto is not an abuse.

Activist Boniface Mwangi now says Deputy President William Ruto's penchant for calling ODM leader Raila Odinga 'Mganga' is not abuse but a reality.

In a statement on Facebook, Mwangi said a 'Mganga' is a Swahili version of a Doctor saying the phrase demonstrates that if Raila is given a chance, he will transform the country.

"Mganga is Swahili for doctor. Mchawi is a witch doctor. Every time Deputy President Willam Ruto calls Raila Odinga Mganga, he is right," he said.

"He knows that Raila is a doctor, given the chance to serve as President and Martha Karua as Deputy President will work towards healing the disease of corruption, poverty and ignorance."

The activist who has been criticising the government of the day has developed an affection for Raila-Karua presidential ticket.

He nowadays campaigns for Raila's presidential bid, perhaps signalling that his close ties with Karua brought him close to Raila's camp.

Raila's unveiling of Karua as running mate has re-energized his bid.

From women to youthful aspirants, the ODM chief has earned the support of many.
