"Tutanyorosha hio project yenyu asubuhi arudi kule kwa bank," Sakaja.

Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja now says his political opponents have resorted to frustrating his gubernatorial bid because he is bound to win in the forthcoming polls.

Speaking on Tuesday during a Kenya Kwanza rally at Mukuru Kwa Njenga, Sakaja exuded confidence that he would trounce Jubilee's Polycarp Igathe in the August polls.

He said his opponents had realized he was a 'sure bet' in the polls and they had resorted to derailing his bid using his academic credentials.

Tutanyorosha hio project yenyu asubuhi arudi kule kwa bank," Sakaja told the gathering.

Despite being cleared by IEBC, one Dennis Gakuu sued Senator Sakaja on grounds that he did not have the right academic qualifications to vie for the gubernatorial seat.

Despite earlier claims by Sakaja that he had graduated from the University of Nairobi (UoN), the institution said he enrolled at the University in 2003 but never graduated.

The Senator, in his defence, said he graduated from Teams University. However, Sakaja has been at pains to prove that he was at Teams University.

In an affidavit, he failed to produce evidence that he paid school fees at the institution. IEBC is expected to make a final decision on his case this week.

"That the Complainants’ wild allegations to the effect that I did not graduate from Team University are and factually hollow and unfounded. For nefarious goals, the Complainants have fraudulently omitted relevant pages of the graduation booklet that bear my graduation credentials," part of the affidavit seen by Nairobileo.co.ke read.
