Wanderi said a total of 132,190,610 ballot papers will be printed.

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has issued a breakdown of the number of ballot papers to be printed for each of the elective seats.

Addressing a media summit on elections on Friday, July 22, IEBC commissioner Francis Wanderi stated that preparations are in top gear ahead of the August 9, polls.

He said the commission has procured all the strategic election material including ballot papers and election technology. Wanderi said ballot printing and delivery process are ongoing.

Wanderi stated that the commission they are printing ballot papers equal to the number of registered voters. Kenya currently has 22,120, 458 registered voters.

Wanderi said a total of 132,190,610 ballot papers will be printed and distributed as follow:

A. President (Including diaspora and prisoners) - 22,120,458

B. Member of National Assembly - 22,102,532

C. Governor- 22,102,532

D. Senator - 22,102,532

E. County Woman member to National Assembly (Excluding Kericho county)- 21,674,46

F. County Assembly ward (Excludingravine in Baringo and sabera in Garissa) - 22,088,091
