The UDA list emerged after the ODM made public 6 names they had nominated for the EALA seats.


The United Democratic Alliance Party (UDA) has nominated 15 persons for consideration for the position of the member of East African Legislative Assembly.

The list of 15 members was decided upon by the UDA selection committee.

The nominated candidates are Former nominated MP David Sankok, Mombasa Gubernatorial Aspirant Hassan Omar, Rebecca Merikeju Lowoiya, Zipporah Kering, Godfrey Maina Karobia, Joel Okengo Nyambane, Fredrick Muteti Charles, Falhadha Dekow Iman, Dr. Abdikadir Omar Aden, Anne Too, Jonas Misto V. Kuko, Cyprian Kubai Iringo, Lilian Cheptoo Tomitom, Yasser Ali Sheikh Bajaber, and Salim Mohammed Busidy.

Kenya has nine seats in the East African Legislative Assembly. Five of the nine will go to the Kenya Kwanza coalition while four will go to the Azimio la Umoja coalition.

This now means that the six nominated by ODM will still face competition from affiliate party members in the race to find the final four who will make it to the assembly.

The UDA list emerged after the ODM made public 6 names they had nominated for the EALA seats.

Among those nominated is Raila Odinga's daughter Winnie Odinga.

Others proposed for nomination are Mombasa businessman Suleiman Shahbal, Mohamed Diriye (Wajir), Timothy Bosire (Nyamira), Beatrice Askul (Turkana) and Justus Kizito who is the immediate former Shinyalu constituency MP.
