Term one holiday will be between April 22, 2023, and May 7, 2023.


The Ministry of Education has released the 2023/2024 Academic Calender.

The calendar indicates when schools will be opened for each term, closed and when students will be proceeding on half-term breaks as well as Examination dates.

In a circular released by the education ministry and signed by principal secretary Julius Jwan, the first term of the academic calendar will last 13 weeks.

It will begin on January 23, 2023, and end on April 21, 2023. The half-term break will be between March 23, 2023, and March 26, 2023.

Term one holiday will be between April 22, 2023, and May 7, 2023.

The term of the academic year will begin on May 8, 2023, and end on August 11, 2023. Half term will be between June 29 and July 2, 2023.

Students will proceed on a two weeks holiday that will last from August 12 and  August 27, 2023.

Term three will start on August 28 and end on November 3, 2023. It will last 10 weeks.

Kenya Certificate of Primary Education will begin on November 6 and end on November 9.

Kenya certificate of secondary education on the other hand will start on November 10 and end on December 1, 2023.
