Even with his absence, the activist said his wife would be around.

Activist Boniface Mwangi has announced taking a sabbatical from social media.

Mwangi announced on Saturday, November 26, that he would be off the interwebs for a couple of months before making a comeback.

He however invited his close friends for meetups when the need arises.

"I’m taking a long break from social media. A well-deserved break. I don’t intend to use Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook for the next few months. If you know me, you know where to find me. Be kind to yourself.  Love yourself, there is only one you. Stay safe. I’m out," he said.

Even with his absence from the online spaces, the activist said his wife would be around, perhaps to hold a forte for him.

He said he wants to chill and relax, and social media is not the appropriate avenue.

"Today, I am leaving social media. It is my last day on social media but my wife will be here, you can also send an email. I am taking a break to just chill, relax, and read," Mwangi said.
