CS Alfred Mutua has appointed a former NTV Journalist as the Head of Communication in the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs.

Former NTV Managing Editor Emmnuel Juma has been appointed as the Head of Communication in the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs.

Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary in a statement on Wednesday, August 16 welcomed the veteran journalist to the ministry noting that he will bring a wealth of experience and enable the Ministry to communicate more effectively.

“I have today welcomed renowned journalist and editor/producer Mr. Emmanuel Juma as the Ministry’s Head of Communication. Mr. Juma brings a wealth of experience in all Media areas and has the personality, creativity and drive to enable the Ministry communicate its Foreign and Diapora positions more effectively,” CS Mutua tweeted.

The Foreign Affairs CS at the same time noted that his ministry will be holding regular Press Conferences starting from September to brief the Nation on Foreign and Diaspora matters.

“The media sessions, to be named The Foreign Brief, will be presided over either by myself or in my absence, by either of the Ministry’s two Principal Secretaries PS Dr. Singoei Korir or PS Roseline Njogu,” he added.

Juma left NTV in January 2021 after serving for fifteen years. He was famously known for the satirical show The Bulls Eye.

The celebrated journalist began his media career at Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) before joining Standard Group’s KTN News as a reporter.

After leaving NTV, Juma was appointed to head a betting task force by the Media Council of Kenya (MCK).
