Renowned Kenyan actor Catherine Kamau popularly known as Kate Actress has finally broken silence on reports of her ex-husband Philip Karanja forcefully repossessing and selling a BMW X3 he had gifted her.
This is after Karanja released a statement on Monday, January 22 saying they both agreed to sell the vehicle and there was no dispute.
“I acknowledge that the blogs are to be sold, and you have had your fun. I wish to officially document that the vehicle was sold with mutual consent, and there are no disputes with Kate, contrary to any portrayals suggesting otherwise,” Karanja stated.
Kate reposted the statement and asked those fueling the speculations to instead watch her series ‘Becoming CEO’.
“Kindly Redirect that energy to watching the New season of Becoming CEO. We aint about that life poleni and Thank you,” Kate stated.

Karanja gifted Kate the BMX X3 in January 2020 after she gave birth to their first daughter.
The two ex-lovers announced their divorce on September 19, 2023 after being together for five years.
“We came to a conclusion to end our marriage a long while ago and are separated. We sincerely request everyone to honor our wishes for privacy for us and our children,” they said in a joint statement.
Karanja and Kate had tied the knot in 2017 at a wedding held at the Windsor Golf Hotel and Country Club.
