Kenyans have flooded the Radio Jambo social media pages after it announced that Deputy President William Ruto will be interviewed on the Patanisho show on Tuesday morning.

DP Ruto will be a guest on the early morning show where he will be interviewed by Gidi and Ghost Mulee. The interview has been slated for 7.30 am.

"Naibu wa rais William Samoei Ruto atakuwa nasi katika mahojiano kesho kwenye #GidiNaGhostAsubuhi. Ruto ameweka wazi azma yake ya kuwania urais 2022. Je, ana fursa kubwa ya kumrithi Uhuru?" the announcement by Radio Jambo read.

The show has gained popularity for the hosts' hilarious attempts to mend broken relationships.

Punctuated by Ghost's raucous laughter, couples bare their dirty linen to a keenly listening audience who then call in to offer their advice.

The announcement of Ruto's appearance on the show has now sparked humorous reactions from Kenyans.

Some asked the hosts to 'patanisha' Ruto and President Uhuru Kenyatta who have not been seeing eye to eye since 2018.

Here some of the reactions to the announcement.

Politics will definitely be a subject for discussion during the show with the Deputy President's relationship with his boss seemingly irrevocably damaged.

On Sunday, DP Ruto took a swipe at President Uhuru Kenyatta after the Head of State criticised the culture of giving handouts.

"When you were looking for votes you gave out Sh100 but you did not call it handout. But when I am giving to churches, boda bodas and mama mbogas, it becomes handout. We may not be geniuses, but we are not fools,” Ruto said.

This is just the latest low in what has been a tumultuous relationship between the two since the March 2018 handshake between Raila Odinga and President Uhuru.
