The National Police Service has requested Kenyans to be on high alert following the twin attacks in Kampala, Uganda.
In a statement released on Tuesday, November 14, the police stated that Kenyans should report suspicious activities within their neighborhoods.
"We encourage the public to be watchful of any suspicious persons and activities within their neighborhoods and report them to the nearest police station or on our toll-free numbers 999/112 and 0800722203," the statement read in part.
The police then assured Kenyans that it had heightened the security and deployed special units within towns and the country's borders.

"Our sympathies to victims and families who were affected by such an atrocious act.
"We have activated our security installations across the country with heightened security within our towns and borders." the police stated.
Kampala Central Business District was hit hard by terror activities from suicide bombers leading to the death of six people and 33 injured people.
The two attacks were carried out near Parliament Buildings and the Central Police station. The parliamentary sessions were halted, with parliamentarians being evacuated to safety.
According to police reports, the suicide bombers were from a local terror group, with the fourth being arrested by police in the city.
They had disguised themselves as bodaboda riders roaming along Parliament Avenue.
