  • Murkomen believes that Uhuru might be hiding something from his supporters.
  • The bromance between President Uhuru and Raila has caused sharp divisions within Jubilee.

Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has insinuated that president Uhuru Kenyatta might be hiding something regarding his 2013 and 2017 election win.

During the two election period, ODM leader Raila Odinga contested the results claiming that IEBC had helped President Uhuru win State House.

According to Murkomen, it is strange that President Uhuru has never denied stealing the elections on both occasions.

In a Twitter post, Murkomen alleged that the current bromance between President Uhuru and Raila might be linked to the polls.

“Raila has insisted that his brother stole his victory in 2013 and 2017. His brother has not objected. Is there something President Kenyatta knows that his supporters don’t know ?,” said Murkomen.

In a quick rejoinder, Uhuru's lawyer on both occasions Amhednasir Abdullahi objected stating that Raila was a sore loser on both occasions.

He likened Raila’s approach to US President Donald Trump's failure to conceded the polls after losing to President-elect Joe Biden.

“As IEBC lawyer in 2013 & the President's lawyer in 2017 (a) & (b) I CONFIRM & DECLARE that Hon. Raila was beating into pulp by H.E UHURU... As we are seeing with President Trump it's GRATEFUL and HONORABLE to concede...but nothing turns on the SULKING of a SORE LOSER…,” posted Murkomen.

Since the March 2018 handshake, President Uhuru Kenyatta has been working closely with Raila on various matters.

The move has led to divisions inside the Jubilee party with DP Ruto and his allies revolting over claims that Raila is being used to wreck Jubilee Party.
