The Supreme Council of Kenya Muslims (SUPKEM) has endorsed the boy-child agenda under the office of the Spouse of the Deputy President, Pastor Dorcas Rigathi.
Pastor Dorcas met the delegation from Western Kenya led by SUPKEM National Chairman Hassan Ole Naado and SUPKEM Regional Coordinator Western Region Al-Hajj Abdi Swaleh at her office in Nairobi.
The cleric has agreed to partner with her office in driving her agenda items across the Western region and nationally for the benefit of the boychild, orphans, widows, and vulnerable populations in the country.
Pastor Dorcas said her agenda is aimed at transforming the lives of the most vulnerable populations in the country, regardless of tribe, race, religion, or region.
"When it comes to vulnerable populations, we have poor people and the needy, everywhere. When it comes to the boychild and drug abuse, it cuts across poor and rich families, Christians, Muslims, and even Hindus," she said.

The Muslim leaders said the agenda of the OSPD will help fight against radicalization and also uplift the lives of those living in informal settlements.
"This is an opportunity for us to support the initiative, mobilize and ensure that the boychild is rescued from the challenges they are facing," said Mr. Naado.
Mr. Abdi said the OSDP initiatives were welcome in the Western region, adding that there has been an increase in cases of radicalization in the area due to negligence of the boychild.
