People totalling 10 are feared dead in Migori after a being involved in a crash caused by a lorry ferrying rice.

According to sources, the tipper lost its brakes; it rammed into the pedestrians and boda boda operators who had parked by the roadside.

The accident occurred in the morning of Saturday, April 8.

Opposition leader Raila Odinga sent his condolences and quick recovery prayer to those affected. "I offer my deepest sympathies to all those who have lost their loved ones, friends, and colleagues in the tragic accident that occurred this morning at the boda boda stage in Migori town. May God grant you all fortitude to get through this difficult moment," he said.
