The worst hit ministry is that of Education with TSC yet to receive Sh8 billion required to pay teachers.

Salary delays have continued to hit the government with six ministries yet to receive monies to pay March salaries. 

Nairobi Leo has established that many civil servants are still yet to be paid despite the government maintaining that all pending salaries have been cleared. 

The worst hit ministry is that of Education with TSC yet to receive Sh8 billion required to pay teachers.

Those yet to be paid are over 30,000 teachers who were recently recruited.

TSC is seeking Sh8 billion from the Treasury to clear the arrears.

Also affected is the Ministry of Health which is demanding Sh2.5 billion to pay its workers.

The Ministry of Energy also is hard hit. It is seeking Sh306 million from Treasury to settle the March salary arrears.

National Youth Service under the Ministry of Public Service is also yet to pay salaries. 

It seeks to receive Sh845m from the National Treasury.

The State Department of Regional Development corridor is also affected. It is demanding Sh213 million to sort pending dues.

Kenya Revenue Authority workers are also among those yet to be paid. The tax collector is seeking Sh1.7 billion to sort the March salaries.

Others worst hit are the county governments.

The devolved units are yet to receive their capitation since January.

Health workers in several counties have downed their tools in protest of delayed payments.

Many of the Counties have asked the National Treasury to disburse the cash to allow for normal operations of the counties.
