National Assembly Majority leader Kimani Ichung’wah on Tuesday wrote to the Clerk of the National Assembly Samuel Njoroge requesting a venue for a meeting between Kenya Kwanza and Azimio leaders.

Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has stated that no bi-partisan meeting will take place until Parliament approves the committee members selected from Kenya Kwanza and Azimio camps.

Speaking on Thursday, April 20 during Citizen TV’s Day Break show, Khalwale stated that the bi-partisan committee does not exist until it is debated and approved.

“As far as I am concerned because I am a member of this committee, the first meeting will be triggered by a decision of both houses that will give effect to this committee. The committee does not exist, it will exist once the names are tabled in the house, debated, and approved.

"After that, they will hold the first meeting. Until the due process is concluded to call any meeting a bi-partisan meeting would be missing it by a mile,” said Khalwale.
