The suspect was rescued from the hands of an angry mob and rushed to Kitengela Sub County Hospital.

Tragedy struck a Chicken Inn outlet in Kitengela on Friday night after a male staff stabbed a colleague to death.

Witnesses say the man who was not on duty stormed the restaurant around 8:30 pm and stabbed the woman multiple times with a knife.

Police aware of the incident told Nairobi Leo that though they are not aware of the motive yet, they suspect a possible love triangle.

"We have launched investigations into the incident. So far we are suspecting the lady was stabbed because of a love triangle," the officer who is not authorised to speak on camera told Nairobi Leo.

Colleagues of the two believe that they were dating.

The incident attracted a mob that gathered at the joint. The group descended on the suspect with kicks and blows. He was beaten to a pulp.

He was rescued by police who rushed him to Kitengela Sub County Hospital.

Some of the colleagues claimed that the man attacked the woman after finding out that she was cheating on him.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending investigation as the scene was closed for cleaning.
