"And why is the law society of Kenya silent on this sad and very sorry state of affairs?"

Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has fired yet another attack at the Judiciary after a High Court issued a gag order barring Trade and Investment CS Moses Kuria from vilifying the Media.

In a tweet on Thursday Morning, the Lawyer poked holes into the court ruling terming it a shame.

He at the same time fingered Chief Justice Martha Koome for the blame saying it is under her watch that things went south in the Judiciary.

"Any serious judiciary will be eternally ashamed of issuing a gagging order of this nature. Utterly scandalous! But I told you people that under CJ Koome the Kenyan judiciary has gone to the dogs," he said.

Lawyer Ahmednasir further turned the heat on the Law Society of Kenya posing:

"And why is the law society of Kenya silent on this sad and very sorry state of affairs?"

The High Court on Wednesday stopped Trade CS Moses Kuria from uttering or expressing any insulting and demeaning words against the media and any Media Practitioner.

Justice Lawrence Mugambi issued the order following an application filed by human rights defender Charles Mugane.

"Pending hearing and determination of this application an injunction be issued against the Cabinet Secretary Trade preventing him from uttering or expressing any belittling, condescending, disdainful words against any Media Practitioner by the meaning of Article 34 of the constitution howsoever and whatsoever," reads the order.

The judge directed the application by Charles to be served to the CS and the Attorney General within three days and responses done within 7 days.

The matter will be mentioned on July 24.
