Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Friday led Saba Saba protests in Machakos. 

Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Friday, July 7 led the Azimio la Umoja saba saba demonstrations in Kathiani, Machakos County.

Kalonzo was in the company of elected Wiper Party leaders from Machakos, Kitui and Makueni Counties.

The  Ukambani protests were part of Azimio's nationwide protests that were led by Azimio leaders in different regions across the country.

Narc Kenya Party Leader Martha Karua lead the protests in Kirinyaga County while former Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya, Roots Party leader George Wajackoya, and DAP-K leader Eugene Wamalwa were in the Western region.

Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga was in Kamukunji grounds in Nairobi where he launched the signature collection against President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza administration.

The opposition chief then asked his supporters to march peacefully while chanting, “We are tired” up to Central Park.

“Kuna njia mingi ya kuenda Roma, Wakizuia hapa tunapita pale. Leo Roma yetu inaitwa Central Park, karibu na Serena hotel. Tukitoka hapa na tuzuiliwe kupita tupite njia zingine mpaka tufike,” said Raila.

He added “Tutatoka hapa kwa njia ya amani, tukisema tu ‘tumechoka.”

The saba saba protests also took place in Kisii, Siaya, Kisumu, and Mombasa counties.
