Shabana Football Club has continued to receive accolades after outdoing itself to be crowned the 2022/2023 National Super League champions.
NSL is the football tier second to the Football Kenya Federation Premier League.
The club which had been a force in the Kenya Premier League back in the day has now made a comeback to the country's top flight challenge after many years of being out.
Their 2-0 win against Kisumu All Stars on Saturday, July 8, stamped their promotion to the FKF-KPL next season.
Among the distinguished personalities to fete the club is Kisii governor Simba Arati.

The county chief executive has announced a raft of incentives to fire up the team in its oncoming challenge.
He announced that the Gusii Stadium will be Shabana's home turf and will use the proceeds of gate collections for its use.
The stadium, he said, would undergo renovation to give it an august face.
"Through my intervention, the county government will let the team use the Gusii Stadium as its home base, free of charge, allowing them to raise funds for upkeep, through gate collections, throughout the season," said Arati.
The governor further announced that he had secured upward of KSh 20 million from a sponsor.
The China-based financier will be flying to Kenya to set out his engagement with the club.
"As earlier promised, the sponsor I had sourced for Shabana FC has just committed to enhance his sponsorship upwards from the initial Ksh.20 million, besides beefing up the facilities at the stadium to boost training and team morale.
"The sponsor is set to jet in from China soonest to work out modalities of engagement," stated the governor.
Shabana has been partaking in low-level football tiers after their unceremonious relegation from the national competition in the 2014/15 season.
Another one to make it to the national soccer championship is Murang'a Seal, little-known players from Murang'a county.
