Uhuru Kenyatta on Monday revealed that his sons own three guns each.

The High Court has suspended the Firearms Licensing Board’s decision to revoke former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s son's firearm license.

Justice Jairus Ngaah issued the order on Wednesday after Jomo Kenyatta through his lawyer Fred Ngatia filed an urgent application at Milimani Courts challenging the government’s decision to withdraw his gun license saying it was revoked unprocedurally

The High Court Judge also barred the Firearms Licensing Board from demanding Jomo surrenders his firearm without following the law.

“For Purpose of preservation of the substratum of the suit, leave granted shall operate as stay of 1st and 2nd respondents’ decision seeking to revoke the applicant’s firearm license of demanding surrender of firearm license no 0000530 or the firearm held under that license without following the due process as set out in the Firearms Act,” Ngaah ruled.

This comes a day after Uhuru revealed that his two sons own six guns and three each, which are registered.

Speaking to news editors on Monday, the retired President mentioned that his sons were forced to apply for guns after the government withdrew their security.

“My Son Jomo applied for three guns for his family’s protection which are also vital in the operations at our farm, with the open safari camps in Narok County,” Uhuru said.

The former Head of State also claimed that the police officers who raided his son’s home in Karen on Friday last week wanted to plant guns and drugs during the operation.

"I believe they wanted to plant drugs and guns in my son's compound,” the former Head of State claimed.
