Head of Public Service and State House Chief of Staff Felix Koskei has called on Kenyans to wear jerseys from Kenyan and African teams from tomorrow.

In a statement via his X handle on Tuesday December 5, the Head of Public service urged Kenyans to embrace the dress down until Jamuhuri Day celebrations on December 12, 2023.

Koskei also said the casual wear will amplify the Africa YouthConnekt Summit that Kenya will be hosting from December 8 to December 11.

“Starting tomorrow until Jamhuri Day, let's embrace dress down, stylish and presentable casual wear, amplifying the Africa YouthConnekt Summit vibes that we're proudly hosting from Dec. 8-11,” said Koskei.

He added, “Show your spirit by donning a jersey from your favorite Kenyan or African team whether it's Athletics, Harambee Stars, Shujaa, or Malkia. Let's rock those jerseys with pride."

The Africa YouthConnekt Summit 2023 will be hosted by the government in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

The summit is expected to convene over 20,000 young people, government officials, corporate leaders amd development champions.

The 2023 summit aims to spotlight youth leadership and innovation for Africa’s integration through policy discussions , story telling and networking and entrepreneur focused programmes.
