  • Kalonzo said he was not under pressure to support any candidate in the next general elections and that anyone who wants to join the One Kenya Alliance (OKA) is welcome.

Former Vice President and Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has said that he is open to negotiations with Deputy President William Ruto.

Kalonzo, who was responding to a question on whether the DP’s team had reached out to him for a possible collaboration ahead of 2022 said it had not reached that point, but they are welcome.

“If you hear them looking for me, tell them I am available because Kenyans must consult. If they want to reach out to me, they are most welcome,” the wiper party leader as quoted by Nation.

Kalonzo stated that he was not under pressure to support any candidate in the next general elections and that anyone who wants to join the One Kenya Alliance (OKA) is welcome.

He added that OKA will not close out on anyone who wants to team up with them adding that to lead a country people must sit and negotiate as they look at the best interests of the country.

The One Kenya Alliance is made up of ANC’s Musalia Mudavadi, Wiper’s Kalonzo Musyoka, Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetangula, and Kanu’s Gideon Moi as its four principals.

The four have been crisscrossing the country trying to popularize OKA, which they have insisted is their vehicle for the presidency in 2022.

Kalonzo, and Mudavadi have declared that they want the top seat and must be on the ballot.

Kalonzo also mentioned that if he were to support ODM leader Raila Odinga again, there would have to be very serious negotiations.

"As they say in business, you don’t get what you deserve, you get what you negotiate," he said.
