In a tweet on Friday, May 27, Ruto mourned the young man as diligent, committed, and jovial.

"It is sad. Evans Mutisya was a jovial, diligent and passionate young man committed to the Hustler Nation. Born in Mbeere, Embu County, Evans was among our key pointmen in Embu. Let us pray with his family, friends and the Hustler Nation as we mourn him," Ruto tweeted.

The Deputy President never disclosed any details regarding his death or what might have transpired.

This comes barely a month after the death of a UDA MCA aspirant Mark Bowen in Elgeyo Marakwet County.

The deceased was found lying unconscious with injuries on his head and a broken leg along the Eldoret-Malaba road in the wee hours of Saturday, May 7.

The UDA party nominee for Sambirir ward was rushed to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) Eldoret where he passed on.
