Kalonzo Musyoka on Thursday announced that he had deferred his presidential dream and rejoined Azimio La Umoja One Kenya coalition party. 

Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Thursday, June 2 announced that he had deferred his presidential dream and rejoined Azimio La Umoja One Kenya coalition party. 

Addressing the press, the former Vice President stated that he had accepted the position of Chief Minister offered to him by Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga. 

"Therefore, after deep introspection, I have today deferred my dreams to run for the president of the Republic of Kenya in the forthcoming general elections.

"Therefore, after wide consultation with the Party Leadership, the clergy, the professionals, I have decided to accept with humility and appreciation my nomination as the Chief Minister in the Azimio One Kenya when, and not if, we form government," Kalonzo stated. 


The Wiper leader went ahead to congratulate Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition deputy nominee Martha Karua. 

Kalonzo went ahead and assured Martha Karua of his full support. 

"I would also wish to congratulate the Hon. Martha Wangari Karua on her nomination as the deputy president nominee of the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party and I assure her of my unequivocal support," he stated.
