A total of 123 petitions have been filed to challenge the election results. 

A total of 123 petitions have been filed to challenge the election results for different seats as of Wednesday, the judiciary has confirmed.

According to the Judiciary committee on elections, the petitions were filed on their e-platform. 

Out of the 123 Petitions, twelve are challenging Governor elections, four Woman representatives while those challenging senator elections are two. 

Among those who have lodged complaints against Governor elections are; Purity Ngirici (Independent) who is challenging the election of UDA’s Ann Waiguru (Kirinyaga), Evans Kidero (Independent) who is challenging the election of ODM’s Glady Wanga (Homa bay) and ANC’s Sakwa Bunyasi who is contesting the election of ODM’s Paul Otuoma (Busia) 

Member of County Assembly (MCA) petitions are the highest at 77, followed by MPs at 28. 

This comes barely two weeks after the Supreme Court upheld the win of President William Ruto.

Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga and Martha Karua had challenged Ruto's win at the Supreme Court.
