The DCI director general post fell vacant following the resignation of George Kinoti.

Veteran thespian Davis Mwabili believes he could be the best fit to replace George Kinoti as the director general of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

The post fell vacant following the resignation of George Kinoti who had been at the helm of the investigatiions agency for four years.

Following Kinoti's resignation, the National Police Service Commission (NPSC) invited applicants seeking to fill the position.

Mwala now says he has what it takes to head the critical state agency.

"I have all it takes to be short-listed for the DCI Director General interviews to replace George Kinoti. Nimetosha. Ama mnaonaje?" he posed.

His proposition to replace Kinoti ignited varied reactions, a section of Kenyans vouching for him while others asking him to stick to the arts.

"With all those practice in the show you are qualified," said Hussein Abdullahi.

"Unatosha Inspekta but you have to tighten your belt it's the hardest job ever," Collins Wasike.

"I support you, you can do better than Chebukati and most of the Supreme Court guys," Lilly Biya.

"Umetosha, ungeshona auto," Vokeni.

"No, you will miss most of the communication that will be happening,"  Jeff Ntokubwa.
