The former President joined host President Muhammadu Buhari for the ministerial review and performance retreat.

This year’s retreat, themed ‘Enhance Security, Fight Corruption, Transform The Economy’, is meant to review Nigeria’s regime performance in the last year.

The function was held at the Presidential Villa, in Abuja, Nigeria.

The president was a keynote speaker at the function. Reliable reports accessed by Nairobi Leo indicate that the President was with outgoing CS for interior Fred Matiang'i and former State House Chief of staff Nzioka Waita.

He lauded the two as among his reliable officials who helped him deliver development to  Kenyans.

The retired president recently skipped scheduled peace talks between the Ethiopian Government and the rebel group Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF), citing conflicts in his schedule.
