Public Service CS nominee Aisha Jumwa on Tuesday, October 18, broke down as she narrated her story while growing up. 

Jumwa disclosed that he was forced to drop out of school due to a lack of school fees while she struggled with her 27 siblings. 

"I have come from very far. My parents were very poor and they struggled to provide for me and my 27 siblings. I proceeded to Ganze secondary school, regrettably, I had to drop out due to lack of school fees," Jumwa told the vetting panel before she broke down in tears.

Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetang'ula had to interject and request Jumwa to compose herself before they continued. 

Jumwa had appeared before the National Assembly Committee on appointments and was asked to give the story of her life as an opening statement.

Before the incident, Aisha told the vetting panel that she is worth Ksh100 million.
