Dr King'ori further denied claims that he had fallen out with NTV bosses.

Felix Omondi famously known by his stage name Dr King'ori has revealed the reason for quitting NTV after seven years.

 Speaking on Friday, January 12 while hosting his last The Wicked Edition show, the comedian debunked speculations regarding his exit.

Dr King'ori stated that many people had reached out to him following reports that Nation Media Group (NMG) was suspending all editorial shows. 

However, King'ori made it clear that The Wicked Edition was not an editorial show. He further denied claims that he had fallen out with NTV bosses.

Amid many speculations surrounding his exit, Dr King'ori cleared the air maintaining that it was a personal decision.

"The Wicked Edition is not an editorial show and our relationship with NTV has been nothing but the best. For the 10 years I have been with Nation, I leave with nothing but the good vibes," Dr King'ori stated.

"The decision that this be our last episode at NTV is purely personal," Dr King'ori.

While signing out, the comedian listed some of his achievements including working with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNCHR) in giving a second shot for life for a million displaced persons in the country.

Dr King'ori had earlier on Friday released a statement announcing his departure. He hosted over 300 episodes on TV which amassed over 70 Million views on YouTube making The Wicked Edition - the longest-running satire show on Kenyan television.

"Since its inception, The Wicked Edition has grown to be the satire show par excellence in Kenya. This is thanks to the unwavering support from you our beloved viewer. Your patronage propelled us to great heights, earning us recognition at the prestigious Kalasha Awards and a nomination for the best performance in TV comedy and the best TV Comedy in Kenya for the upcoming 2024 edition.

"We extend our heartfelt gratitude towards NTV Kenya for being our nurturing home - a platform where creativity was met with opportunity. To every member of the creative team, crew and every guest on each episode your passion and talent have been the cornerstone of our success. Your dedication shone through each episode of The Wicked Edition that we have shared with the world," the comedian stated.

He however did not reveal his next move but urged his followers to follow his YouTube channel for updates.

"This journey, while ending with NTV Kenya, is set for a new beginning as we expand our reach, venture into greater creative endeavours and continue delivering value-laden content to our fans across East Africa and beyond. And as we chart new courses and explore fresh narratives, we invite you to join us through the plot twists."
