President Ruto kicked off a five-day working tour of the Mt Kenya region on Saturday. 

President William Ruto is currently chairing a cabinet meeting at Sagana State Lodge in Nyeri County.  

The President on Tuesday, August 8, shared photos of the ongoing meeting in Nyeti County where he is expected to address matters of development in the country.  

President Ruto will also host Mt Kenya leaders where they are expected to deliberate areas of development in the region. 

The Head of State kicked off a five-day working tour of the Mt Kenya region on Saturday and made several stopovers at Githurai, Kagio, and Kenol.

Among the projects the project he has launched and commissioned include; opening the Githurai Market in Kiambu County, Commissioning the Ruiru-Juja and Greater Githurai Water Project, and launching the Kerugoya Kutus Water Supply Project in Kirinyaga County. 

In addition, the President has also commissioned the Field-Marshal Muthoni wa Kirima Transport Terminus, the 2,500-acre Kaigunji Irrigation Project,opened the Nyeri Stage and Bus Park at Nyeri Town and launched the tarmacking of the 45-Kilometre Ichamara-Rutune in Mukuruwe-ini, Nyeri County.

The Mt Kenya tour will come to an end on Wednesday when President Ruto will open the three-storeyed, 175-bed capacity Naromoru Level IV Hospital.
